Breaking news!

Elodye and Romaine (FR) did allready chat with me on facebook: they like the families very much. Desiree and Lotte (NL) are trying to have a conversation with Aline (FR). The teachers are having a very nice dinner at the home of Hans Mertens and Agnes van Zon:

Arrival in the Netherlands

They left at 11.00 in Coulogne and Mrs. Isabelle Sauvage did send me textmessages to keep us (NL) informed. They should arrive at 14.45 h. When I phoned them they said they were on the parking. But we didn't see anyone.

A few of the students looked at the parking of the hotel, but couldn't find anyone either. I phoned again and then we found out, they were at the wrong school. So, they turned around and half an hour later they arrived.

In the beginning everybody was a little bit shy and not at ease, but this will change soon I think.

Staying behind the cars.

Soon after the teachers and students shaked hands and got to meet each other. Mr. Chris Wessels, Mr. Peter van Vessem and Mr. Jan van Hooijdonk showed them around in the school. Then the students left for the family. This was a big step. The teachers went to the hotel. Now the French students must talk English with the Dutch students and their family. This will not be easy, but they will manage.

I hope they will sleep very well this night. Tomorrow they leave at 6.00 to the flowermarket of Naaldwijk with Mr. Noud Theuws and Mr. Eduard Kamstra.

• 6.00 flowerauction Naaldwijk with Mr. Noud Theuws and Mr. Eduard Kamstra.
• 10.30 Coffeabreak at school.
• 11.00 Flowerylessons with Dutch students with Mrs. Agnes van Zon en Mr. Hans Mertens.
• 12.30 Lunch
• 13.30 Visit to an entreprise with Spathyphylums - brothers Houtepen with Mr. Hans Mertens and Mrs. Thea van Bokhoven.
• 16.15 Departure to families: diner.
• 19.30 Evening program (recreation swimming or brewery)

• 8.30 Lessons with Dutch students.
• 10.15 Coffeabreak.
• 10.30 Visit to a modern Garden Centre in Oosterhout with Mr. Jan van Dorst and Mrs. Thea van Bokhoven.

• 13.30 Visit to entreprise with Tree-Nursery in Zundert with Mr. Eric Abrahams and Mr. Hans Mertens.
• 16.15 Departure for families.

Thursday april 19:

• 8.30 Excursion to the Floriade Venlo with Mr. Eric Abrahams and Mr. Cor Ruczynski.
• 16.00 Back to Breda.
• 18.00 Dinner at Restaurant Rooi Pannen with all the students and teachers.

• 8.30 Excursion to nursery with mini-cucumbers: Verhoeven
• 10.30 Floral  lessons with Mr. Dennis Kneepkens

French students will come to Breda

Today I received the names of the students who will visit our school in Breda and the Floriade in Venlo in the end of april. Their English teacher Mrs. Anne Motte will join them.
